Tech-Tip: InterExcel400: Convert multiple lines into one row - easy.
A new version of InterExcel400 has been released now (version 001150). With this version it is no longer required, that all the collected conditioned lines (that are to be placed on the same row in the excel spreadsheet) must be named the same. Now they can be named freely.
The following conditioned lines must however have the type X or Y. Only the first line must trigger a conditioned line with the parameter 'Extension in same XLS row.' activated. This (Extension in same XLS row) must not be activated for the following lines.
Type X indicates that the cells defined are placed relatively to the rightmost cell already used. Type Y indicates that the cell number defined is the absolute cell number counted from the very left - as normal.
Now you can place not only 2, but as many sequential spooled files lines as you want on a single row in the excel file (if there is room enough).
Examples of the new use is demonstrated in demo conversion definitions DEMO2 and DEMO3, which are built for the demo spooled file with a changed form type.
The version is available for download from our web site. Feel free to request a demo or explaination if needed.
