InterExcel400: Using predefined formulas to repeat information found once in the spooled file
In the latest month some have requested to be able to repeat information found only once in the spooled file for each of the detail lines.
That is actually possible by inserting a formula and repeat this for all the detail lines.
As an extra 'spice' you would then only want to see that value if any detail is found on the same line.
Here is an example of how to do that with a formula, which you can insert in the Excel template.
If this formula is added in cell A7 and copied to the cells below, then the value in A6 will be copies to all of the cells – provided that the cell to the right (e.b. B7) is not blank.
=IF(EXACT(B7,),"",A6)
We include the excel file as an example, so you can see the formula in your own language.
