Tech-Tip: The good old APFEDTPRT command .
Sometimes I take things for granted. I just assume that everyone know all the good tools, that are 'hidden' in InterForm400 as a lot of commands. A few weeks ago someone asked me if we had a tool which could help to edit and/or change spooled files - and sure we do.
Take a look at the APF3812/APFEDTPRT command. It can take an existing *SCS spooled file, copy it into a physical file, start SEU and you can edit the contents and press F3 and Enter when done. All you need to specify is the output queue containing the original spooled file and the output queue for the new edited spooled file. I suggest you prompt it with this: APF3812/APFEDTPRT FILNVN(*SELECT) - in this manner you do not need to specify the exact spooled file identification.
